What time do you open?

We’re open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturdays except for public holidays.

Am I able to hire any of your materials?

In short, we don't hire any of our materials to the general public.

Will you accept my old broken things?

Can my 3-year old (or younger) attend your workshop?

Our school holiday workshops cater for children from 4 to 12 years old. This age band is set based on the general skill level required at our workshops. Children 7 years and younger are required to be accompanied by an adult.

Do you recycle

Can you sponsor me?

Unless circumstances can be deemed to be exceptional, RGQ will only consider requests from not-for-profit organisations and local catchment schools. RGQ will only donate material discards (i.e. warehouse stock) and not cash donations.

Where do your earnings go?

We are an independent not-for-profit organisation and formally registered charity with the ACNC. We don’t receive any external funding for our Capital. Therefore, all our earnings are reinvested into the organisation to cover operational overheads, such as wages, rent and maintenance. As a rule, any end of year profits made above our annual expenses or savings goals are donated to the Friends of the Earth Brisbane.

Can I volunteer with Reverse Garbage Queensland ?

Yes, you can. Our volunteers generally support our Sorting and Workshop teams. To enquire about upcoming volunteer opportunities, you can send an email to  info@reversegarbageqld.com.au with the subject line: Volunteer Enquiry.

Can my child attend your adult workshop?

Our adult workshops are designed for people aged 13 years and over. This age band is set based on the general skill level required for attending our adult workshops. If your child is younger than 13 we recommend they attend one of our school holiday workshops.

How does it all, do I have to join?

All our services are open to the public so there’s no need to join the co-op in order to enjoy the benefits. We do have a loyalty program, which you can sign up to. To learn more about that, you can ask at the front counter on your next visit.

Do you post outside of Queensland?

Can I put something aside to buy later?

Due to the limited nature of what we stock, we ask that merchandise is purchased at the time of the request to hold.

Do you always have the same stock items?

Our stock is donated to us from around 300 local businesses across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. As such, Our donor list is constantly changing and, as such, so is our stock. To become a business-to-business donor, you can send an email to  discards@reversegarbageqld.com.au with the subject: Donor Enquiry.

Can I bring my dog in?

If your dog is small enough to be comfortably carried, they can browse the shop with you, otherwise we have a dog station at the entrance of our warehouse, where you can leave your fur friend.

Can anybody come to shop at RGQ?

Yes, our shop floor is open to the public.

Is it only cash or can I use my card?

We have EFTPOS facilities available with a minimum $5 spend. We accept MasterCard and VISA.

Do you have parking and disability facilities?

We have seven off-street parking spaces in front of the warehouse. If you're not that lucky, there is on-street, two-hour parking on Elliott Street. During week days, there usually isn't other parking on Burke Street and we ask that you please refrain from parking in car parks of other businesses in the street.Please note, the RGQ warehouse is accessible for customers with mobility issues. Please call ahead (07 3891 9744) if you require a disabled car park and we will ensure we have a space clear for your visit.
