Leather Making

Discover the art of leather-craft and sustainable living in our leather making workshop using salvaged materials!  Join us as we guide you through the process of transforming discarded leather scraps into beautiful and functional pieces.

Our facilitators will teach you the basics of working with leather including basic pattern making, tool use, and joining using saddle stitch, as well as decorative features such as embossing, riveting and studding, all while emphasising the importance of reducing waste and repurposing materials, particularly leather.

With full access to our treasure trove of salvaged materials, participants will leave the workshop with the knowledge and skills to continue making with leather at home!

This workshop is suitable for ages 13+ and adults.  Beginners welcome, all tools and materials provided, and a light morning tea will also be served.
