Block printing is an ancient art form that has been used in many cultures.  This decorative art process uses line, colour, shape and pattern to transform different surfaces such as paper, wood and textiles.

We throw many textile items into landfill as they start to show signs of wear-and-tear or the novelty values of being new and fresh has faded.  Block printing is a highly effective way to upcycle textiles and breath life back into old garments and turn them into something that is truly unique and personalised. 

Simple materials can be used to produce something that is highly effective and will elevate your handmade projects to another level!

In this workshop participants will learn how to create printing blocks from discarded and repurposed items and the process of printing on to textiles to produce their own print decorated tea towel.

Beginners welcome, all tools and materials provided, and a light morning tea will also be served. 

Please note that we will be working with paint in this workshop, so remember to wear appropriate clothes.
