Textile Printmaking

Do you have old clothes or textiles that need a little refresh? Why not consider up-cycling them at our textile printing workshop!

Block printing is an ancient art form that has been used in many cultures.  This decorative art process uses line, colour, shape, and pattern to transform the mundane into the unique.

Considering the environmental impacts of fast fashion, learning how to up-cycle textiles is a highly effective way to breath life back into old garments and turn them into something both beautiful and personalised.

In this workshop, participants will learn the process of printing with printing blocks to transform a textile item of their choice.

Please bring a textile item that you wish to up-cycle along to the workshop. Also note, that as we will the working with paint, it is advisable to wear appropriate clothes.

This workshop is suitable for ages 13+ and adults. Beginners are welcome, and a light morning tea will be served.
